Getting the heat right
We don’t do “one size fits all.” We build these lamps to match your machine’s exact voltage and wattage. We use high-wattage quartz tubes because you need that short-wave radiation to hit the glass fast. If you’re running a high-voltage setup, we spec the filament so it can actually handle the load without popping a few weeks later. But here is the thing: you have to balance power and heat. Sure, pushing a lamp to max wattage means the glass heats up faster. But that also puts a lot of stress on your power supply and can bake your machine frame. Just make sure your cooling fans are clean—you don’t want your housing warping because of a dust clog.
The nitty-gritty details
We use high-purity quartz glass so the IR transmission is as clean as possible. And depending on how thick your glass is, we can add special coatings to tweak the emission spectrum. Most of the time, lamps fail at the connection points. It’s the weakest link. We offer standard R7s or Sk15 bases, but if those don’t work, we’ll just custom-weld the leads to match your wiring harness. You should be able to plug it in and go without having to rewire your entire electrical cabinet.
