We designed them to send heat right where you need it—onto people and surfaces—not to waste energy trying to warm the whole air around you. It’s pretty simple, really. Heat travels in a straight line. So if the heater isn’t positioned just right, you lose that comfort fast.

Getting the Height and Angle Just Right

How well the heater works comes down to two big things: how high it’s mounted and the angle it’s pointing. We’ve found the sweet spot for height is between 2.1 and 2.4 meters off the ground. At that height, the warmth spreads out nicely over a good-sized area, without the beam getting too wide or too narrow. Go lower than 2.0 meters, and you’ll get a small, intensely hot spot. It feels strong, sure, but the rest of the space is left in the cold. Crank it up above 2.7 meters, and the heat just fades away. The beam gets too spread out, and the warmth that reaches the ground is barely there. Angle matters just as much. Tilt the heater slightly downward—we’re talking about 5 to 10 degrees—and aim it right where people are sitting. This makes sure the warmth hits them directly. It feels natural, not like you’re being blasted in one spot.
